Strangely, Apple has not awaited WWDC to
announce its "App Store 2.0" which will finally allow developers to
offer a subscription system ... and also the pub.
It was during an interview with The Verge that Phil Schiller, the marketing vice president of Apple has announced a major overhaul of the App Store. Developers will be happy, because finally will offer a subscription system, not just a fee for service. Still not made pay day however, they were nevertheless also requested.
Developers will be able to request a recurring payment, to the manner of an Apple Music.Advantageous, and especially Apple will revise downward its commission if the developer keeps customers are more than a year. After 12 months of subscription, Apple will no longer take that 15% instead of the usual 30%.
Apple AdWords
The other big news is the arrival of
advertising in the App Store, it will present itself in a similar way
that we can find on Google for example. If you search for a photo application, the App Store will suggest in a very top on blue as shown in the image below.
Big change for Apple, which had so far refused to display advertisements in his shop. Except
that here, despite Apple's efforts to leave a little more visibility to
"small" applications, it has never really worked, and it seems so
logical to leave open the possibility for developers to force a little
fate, even Apple will derive some income.
Shorten
Phil Schiller finally announced, but this time on The Loop , the validation period has been shortened. He says the elves from the App Store today validate 100,000 applications per week. 50% of applications are now validated within 24 hours and 90% within 48 hours. This is made possible through new and faster process while ensuring a decent quality of Apple.
Schiller said again attached to the
validation, he admits however that it can be debilitating, especially
when it comes to publish an update in the emergency, following a bug for
example. It was therefore necessary to improve it. All these innovations will arrive at As at June 13
